A Commission Bid is where you state the maximum amount you are prepared to bid and ask us to bid on your behalf. Please though be aware that we are not allowed to exceed your figure by a single pound but we will always try to get the item as cheaply as possible bearing in mind reserves and other bids.

Example:
The highest bid in the room is £4,500 but your commission bid is £6,000 and the auctioneer is going up in £200 increments. Your next bid will therefore be £4,700 and providing there are no more bids that will be the hammer price of the Lot and you will be the new owner, providing that figure exceeds the reserve price.

A Telephone Bid is where you can bid live over the phone as if you were actually at the sale.  You will be contacted on your specified telephone number in plenty of time by a member of H&H staff who will help you through the process to enable you to bid on and possibly buy the Lot.

This method of absentee bidding is NOT available for Automobilia.
